Mark Royer joins the Swarthmore baseball staff for the 2013-2014 season. He will coach the outfielders, assist with the hitters, and coach first base for the Garnet.
 

Royer grew up in Fairfax, Virginia, and graduated from Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, VA, in 2009. He earned First Team All-Prep and First Team All-Region honors his senior year.

Royer played collegiately at Eastern University where he was a three-year starter and captain for the Eagles. In 2013, Royer graduated from Eastern with a degree in Interpersonal Communication Studies. He resides in Berwyn, PA.
