Did You Know?

The Swarthmore men’s tennis team has won four Division III National Championships – in 1977, 1981, 1985, and 1990.
The Swarthmore men’s tennis team won the MAC Championship in every year from 1964-1985 with the exception of 1969 and 1972.
Two Swarthmore doubles teams have won NCAA Division III National Championships: Larry Davidson and John Irwin in 1976 and Jeff Krieger and Shep Davidson in 1985.
In 38 years at Swarthmore, Head Coach Mike Mullan has led the Garnet to 27 NCAA Tournament appearances.
Swarthmore alum and former coach Edwin Faulkner, a pioneer in the game of tennis, was inducted into the ITA Hall of Fame in 1989.
