Did You Know?

  • Swarthmore Men's Soccer reached the NCAA Division III Sweet 16 four times (2008, 2009, 2012, 2019).
  • The Garnet won 12 or more games for 10 straight seasons (2004-13).
  • Morgan Langley '11, the all-time leading scorer in men's soccer program history, signed a professional soccer contract for the Philadelphia Union of the MLS in 2011. He became the first former Centennial Conference student-athlete to sign a professional contract with the top-level American soccer, football, baseball or basketball league.
  • The Swarthmore/Haverford men's soccer rivalry is one of the oldest in college soccer, dating back to the 1919 season.
  • Robert Dunn, the all-time winningest coach in Swarthmore Men's Soccer history, is enshrined in the NSCAA Hall of Fame.
  • Swarthmore men's soccer had a Capital One Academic All-America First Team winner for four seasons straight. In addition, Michael Superdock '15 became Swarthmore's first student-athlete in any sport to be named a Capital One Academic All-America First Team selection twice (2013 and 2014).
  • Swarthmore has produced the Philadephia Inquirer Academic All-Area Performer of the Year in men's soccer for three seasons straight. Peter Maxted '14 won the award in 2012 and 2013, while Michael Superdock '15 was recognized in 2014.
