Men’s Soccer Drops Conference Battle to Muhlenberg

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Muhlenberg College on Wednesday night.

Colin Crowe made three saves for the Garnet in 78 minutes of action, while Eli Cogan registered a pair of saves in the remaining 12 minutes.

Muhlenberg held a 12-8 shot advantage against the Garnet. Kaden Cho led the way with three shots for Swarthmore, including two of the team's best scoring chances of the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet challenged the Mules early with a couple shots on goal from Javier Minuesa Sicilia and Cho. Minuesa Sicilia had his attempt saved by the keeper in the third minute, while Cho was turned away in the fifth minute on an early scoring chance.

- In the 23rd minute, Colin Solic recorded a shot on goal, which was stopped by the keeper. Crowe then answered the call at the other end with his first save of the contest. However, the Mules would open the scoring with an own goal in the 27th minute off a corner attempt.

- Following Muhlenberg's goal, Len Yamabe had an opportunity off a corner kick, but was denied by the keeper. The Mules would go on to add another score in the 43rd minute, making it 2-0 at halftime.

- The Garnet defense withstood an early flurry from the Mules, before Muhlenberg added on with another insurance tally in the 68th minute. Cogan entered the game in the 88th minute for the Garnet, making a couple saves, including an excellent diving stop on a free kick from just outside the box.
