Cross Country Claims Four All-Centennial Spots, Garnet Named Women's Coaching Staff of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's and women's cross country teams had four total runners named to the All-Centennial Team, the conference office announced on Thursday. In addition, the Garnet earned Women's Cross Country Coaching Staff of the Year recognition.

On the women's side, Elizabeth Page and Aaliyah Anaskevich garnered All-Centennial First Team accolades while Charlotte Martin was a Second Team honoree. Cohen Manges represented the Swarthmore men with his fourth consecutive All-Centennial Second Team nod. Bella Thoen and Theo McGreevey were the Garnet's picks for the Centennial All-Sportsmanship Team.

Page posted her highest career finish at the conference championships, finishing fourth overall with a time of 21:42.4. The junior raced to a personal record in the 6K after cutting six seconds off her previous best. It is Page's second career All-Centennial selection after earning a Second Team nod in 2024.

Anaskevich earned her first career All-Centennial honor with a seventh-place finish. The junior blew away her previous best with a 21:55.4 finish to grab the final First Team selection, improving her previous personal record (23:08.7) by over a minute.

Martin battled to an eighth-place finish to secure Second Team status. The junior ran a time of 22:01.9, achieving a new personal record by 30 seconds. It is her first career All-Centennial accolade.

Manges led the Garnet men with an eighth-place finish at the conference meet, recording his highest career finish at the championship event with a time of 25:02.5. He is the first Swarthmore men's runner to earn All-Centennial recognition in four consecutive seasons since Richard Schultz accomplished the feat in 1972.

The Garnet coaching staff of head coach Peter Carroll, associate head coach Lauren Lucci, and assistant coach John Noon guided the women's team to a second-place showing at the Centennial Championships, finishing just 30 points behind first-place Johns Hopkins University. It was the program's highest placement at the conference meet since finishing as the runner-up in 1997. Swarthmore's 53 points set a new program standard for the event. The Garnet also picked up team victories at the Bryn Mawr Invitational and Rowan Border Battle this season and are currently ranked first in the Metro Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
