COLORADO SPRINGS - The Swarthmore College field hockey team climbed two spots to No. 14 in this week's National Field Hockey Coaches Association Top 25 Poll, marking the fourth consecutive week in which the Garnet improved their national standing.

Swarthmore (11-4, 7-1 Centennial) won its lone contest of the week this past Saturday, defeating Washington College at home, 3-1. Sophie Wilchek, Annika Hoyer, and Nina Wiggins all scored for the Garnet. Castle's six goals leads the squad with Vasquez and Hoyer close behind with five apiece. Jordan has notched a team-high six assists.

Defensively, Julia Powell, Zoe Larsen, and Kayla Fink lead a unit that ranks 10th in Division III in shutouts per game (0.50) and 20th in goals against average (1.03). Josie Sarno has recorded seven shutouts in the cage. She sits 17th in the nation in goals against average (1.03) and 20th in save percentage (.824).

The Garnet host Haverford College on Wednesday night.
