SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore College's Zander Jimenez was chosen the D3hoops.com Region V Rookie of the Year this week. Jimenez is the first Garnet athlete to win the award since Vinny DeAngelo in 2020.
 
Jimenez led Swarthmore in scoring this season with 15.1 points per game. He posted a .423 field goal percentage with 21 three-pointers. Jimenez was first on the squad with 1.8 steals per game and third with a 5.5 rebound average. The first-year tallied double-digit points in 19 of his 21 contests with four 20-plus performances. Jimenez scored a season-high 31 points at Johns Hopkins University. He was named the Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year and was an All-Centennial Second Team honoree.
 
Jimenez helped the Garnet post a 17-9 record and reach the Centennial Tournament.
