No. 11 Men’s Lacrosse Rolls Past Arcadia, Hardiman Tallies Six Scores

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The No. 11 Swarthmore College men's lacrosse team bounced back with a dominant 20-3 victory at Arcadia University on Saturday afternoon.

Michael Hardiman tallied seven points on six goals and one assist to lead the Garnet attack. Clay Almgren also put together another well-rounded performance with two goals and three assists, while Danny Lowe recorded a hat trick with three scores.

All six goalies saw playing time for the Garnet with Drew Tyson pacing the pack with seven saves in a quarter of action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Swarthmore scored the opening six goals in the first quarter. Nolan Ohrman recorded the first tally with 12:09 left, before Hardiman scored four of the next five Swarthmore goals. Almgren provided the other score as the Garnet built a commanding six-goal lead. Hardiman played the starring role, recording a hat trick in the first quarter.

- The Garnet maintained its dominance with six more unanswered goals in the second. Almgren and Hardiman started the scoring, while Lowe followed with back-to-back scores. Hardiman and Joshua Do then wrapped up a stretch of 12-unanswered goals, before Arcadia added its lone first-half score with 16-seconds left, 12-1.

- Arcadia scored a pair of goals in the third quarter, but were unable to shrink its opening half deficit. Swarthmore collected a couple goals in the stanza with scores from Lowe and Ryder Maston, 14-3.

- The Garnet capped off a dominant showing with six-unanswered goals in the fourth quarter. Aidan Rubio found the back of the net twice to open the stanza. Andrew Stodden, Jayson Batie, Ethan Poyton and Brett Maguire then contributed scores to close out the game.
