LEXINGTON, SC - The Swarthmore College baseball team earned the split against Ithaca College and Case Western Reserve University on Wednesday. The Garnet came back to beat the Bombers, 7-6, but fell to the Spartans, 9-3, in today's nightcap.

Leor Kedar had a pair of doubles in the team's victory, including a game-tying double in the ninth inning. Gabe Elliott earned the victory with a scoreless eighth inning, while Alexander Rimerman tossed a pair of hitless innings in the sixth and seventh.

- Ithaca controlled the game early with four-unanswered runs in the opening five innings. The Bombers scored one run in the first, added another in the third and plated a pair in the fifth.

- Swarthmore's offense was unable to get much going until the sixth inning. Following a one-out Matthew Silvestre walk and a Benjamin Buchman single, Zac Kahn brought home the team's first run with an RBI knock. Buchman later came around to score on a passed ball to shrink the team's deficit to two runs, 4-2.

- Rimerman stepped up for the Garnet with a 1-2-3 shutdown inning in the sixth. He then stranded a pair of baserunners in the seventh to keep his squad within a couple runs.

- Swarthmore had its first seven runners reach in a five-run ninth inning. The first two batters advanced on a walk and a hit-by-pitch, while Wilson Henze singled to load the bases. Kedar then tied the game with a two-run double to left-center field. Suillivan then followed with a go-ahead single, while the team plated two more with a hit batsmen and a wild pitch, 7-4.
