KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's and women's track & field teams sent select athletes to the Golden Bear Invitational at Kutztown University on Friday night.
The Garnet produced eight top-eight finishes on the evening, led by
Trel Trelstad who was the winner in the women's high jump. It was Trelstad's third victory in the event this indoor season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trelstad took first place in the high jump with a height of 5' 1.75" (1.57m), which they cleared on their final attempt.
Hannah Swale was the runner-up behind Trelstad, recording a leap of 4' 11.75" (1.52m).
- Swale also competed in the 200 meters, placing fourth with a time of 28.65.
Anna Savolainen came in sixth place (30.18). Savolainen took fifth (4' 7.75", 1.42m) in the high jump and
Deedra Closser was sixth (4' 4", 1.32m).
- On the men's side,
Quentin Adolphe finished fourth in the high jump with a career-best height of 6' 0.5" (1.84m).
Noah St. George took sixth (5' 8.5", 1.74m) and
Alan Nichols was 10
th (5' 4.5", 1.64m). Nichols also ran in the 55 meters and placed ninth (6.87).
