SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The No. 11 Swarthmore College men's tennis team took down two opponents on Saturday, winning 8-1 against Stevens Institute of Technology then defeating Centennial Conference foe Dickinson College, 9-0.
The victories gave the Garnet a four-match win streak. Eight Garnet players earned multiple wins on the day, led by
Aadhi Raja and
Kevin Jiang with three apiece.
HOW IT HAPPENED (vs. Stevens)

Michael Melnikov and
Utham Koduri got Swarthmore going with an 8-2 victory at first doubles.
Max Lindstrom and Raja also cruised to an 8-2 win at the third spot.
Andres Fente and
Rushil Patel were locked in a tight battle at second doubles but came out on top in a tiebreak.
- Jiang picked up the first singles win of the day. He took the opening set, 6-3, then cruised to a 6-0 triumph in the closer at third singles.
- Melnikov upped his win streak to five with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at the top spot.
Rishi Verma extended his streak of victories to nine with a 6-4, 6-4 decision at fifth singles.
- Lindstrom came through with a 6-3, 7-5 success at second singles to make the score 7-0. The Ducks picked up their lone win at the fourth spot before
Lalith Suresh finished the match with a 7-6, 6-2 win at the sixth flight.
HOW IT HAPPENED (vs. Dickinson)
- Jiang teamed up with
Winston Zhang for an 8-1 rout at third doubles to get the match underway.
Aamish Pal and
Phil Rehwinkel played to an 8-2 victory at the second position then
Max Pogorelov and Raja completed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win at the first flight.
- Jiang earned the slot at first singles and dropped just one game en route to a 6-0, 6-1 win. He has won four consecutive matches.
- Rehwinkel shut out his opponent with a 6-0, 6-0 whitewash at third singles. Koduri did the same at the fifth position.
- Pal made quick work of his competition at second singles, winning 6-2, 6-1. Raja and Pogorelov finished off the shutout with matching 6-2, 6-2 triumphs at fourth and sixth singles respectively.
