SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Playing in their penultimate non-conference dual match of the season, the No. 29 Swarthmore men's tennis team took down No. 38 Stevens Institute of Technology by a score of 9-0 on Sunday, Mar. 26.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles:
- The Garnet got out to a hot start in doubles play, taking wins in all three matches. The duos of first year Max Lindstrom/junior Rushil Patel and sophomore Max Pogorelov/first year Andres Fente dominated their contests, coming out on top by scores of 8-2 and 8-6 respectively.

- Swarthmore's biggest challenge came in the No. 1 seeded match, where the pair of first year Michael Melnikov/first year Utham Koduri went the distance with their Stevens opponents. The Garnet duo ultimately came out on top 8[8]-7[6], securing Swarthmore a 3-0 lead moving into singles.

Singles:
- Not slowing down in singles play, the Garnet swept the No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 seeded matches in straight sets. Melnikov (6-4,6-1), Lindstrom (6-0,6-2), Koduri (6-4,6-1) and first year Lalith Suresh (7-6,6-4) all captured a point for the Garnet without dropping a set.

- Two of Swarthmore's matches went the distance, with both senior Josiah Myers-Lipton and first year Aamish Pal battling to three sets. Unphased however, both Garnet players came out on top, taking down their competition 3-6,6-3,10-5 and 6-3,3-6,10-7 respectively to secure Swarthmore's 9-0 win.
