SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The No. 12 Swarthmore College men's basketball team expanded its win streak to 11 games with a victory over Gettysburg College, 81-71, on Saturday afternoon. The Garnet remain perfect in conference play and have not suffered a loss since Nov. 16, 2022.

Vinny DeAngelo dropped a game-high 30 points to pace the Garnet. It marked the junior's second 30-plus point effort of the season and his seventh game with 20-plus points.

George Visconti recorded his second double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Colin Shaw joined him in double figures with 12 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Michael Caprise opened the game with consecutive buckets for the Garnet, before DeAngelo added a pair of free throws to complete a 6-0 run. DeAngelo then continued to build on the team's hot start with a bucket from long range, 11-4.

- Cal Hanson gave the Garnet an eight-point advantage with a three-pointer at the 11:58 mark. Moments later, Eddie Paquette connected from deep to expand the team's lead to nine points. Swarthmore then expanded their lead to double digits with an Aidan Godfrey three-pointer, 26-16.

- Swarthmore led by as many as 12 points in the opening half when Shaw added a layup at the 5:07 mark. The Garnet kept the Bullets at a distance as they headed into halftime up eight, 38-30.

- After an early second half surge from the Bullets, Shaw helped settle things down with consecutive buckets to pull ahead by eight points. Visconti then added a three-pointer to expand the team's lead to double digits with 11:21 left.

- Gettysburg threatened once again as they came within two points of Swarthmore's lead with 6:33 left. DeAngelo responded with a pair of free throws, while Hanson provided some breathing room with his second three-pointer of the afternoon, 65-58.
