PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Swarthmore College baseball team dropped both games of its double-header versus Marietta College on Monday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marietta posted six runs in the first inning to build an early cushion. The Pioneers then added three more runs over the next two innings to open the game with nine-unanswered runs.Â
- Swarthmore got on the board with one run in the fourth inning.
Michael Sepe reached base with a two-out walk and then stole second base to advance into scoring position. Silvestre then came through with a two-out single to center field to plate Sepe, 9-1.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet kept the Pioneers off the board for the first two innings, before Marietta answered with five runs in the third inning. The No. 2 team in the nation added a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth, respectively, to pull ahead by nine runs.Â
- Swarthmore tallied its first run in the sixth inning.
Luke Mutz singled to short stop with two-outs to prolong the inning.
Emmet Reynolds then doubled to left field to score Mutz from first base, 9-1.Â
- After Marietta added a pair of runs in the seventh, the Garnet answered with a pair of their own in the bottom of the inning. Radek sparked another two-out rally with a single to center field. Johnson and Roffwarg added back-to-back doubles to plate two runs, 11-3.Â

Nate Jbara led off the ninth inning with a triple to center field. Radek brought home the Garnet's fourth run with a RBI ground out in the following at bat, 11-4.Â
