ELIZABETHTOWN, PA. - The Swarthmore College men's lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the season on the road at Elizabethtown College, 16-11, on Saturday afternoon. 

Quin Seivold tallied four goals to lead the Garnet offense, while Von Mabbs and Carter Strauch each added a pair of goals, respectively. Strauch also added three assists to lead Swarthmore with five points. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jays collected the first tally of the game at the 8:36 mark. Swarthmore quickly answered with a goal of their own from Seivold to tie the game. Elizabethtown and Swarthmore traded goals to end the opening stanza as Ryan Chambliss found the back of the net at the 1:52 mark.

- Elizabethtown pulled ahead in the second quarter with a lopsided 8-2 advantage. Seivold and Strauch traded goals with the Jays early in the quarter, before Elizabethtown ended the final 10-minutes on a 6-0 run to pull ahead by six goals, 10-4. 

- Swarthmore opened the third quarter with consecutive goals from Seivold and Strauch, before Elizabethtown countered with a pair of their own. Mabbs found the back of the net with 2:49 remaining in the third, but Elizabethtown countered with another tally before the buzzer, 13-7. 

- Swarthmore outscored the Jays, 4-3 in the final stanza. Seivold, Ben Schaeffer, Jackson Brosgol and Mabbs all connected on goals for the Garnet.
