IMMACULATA, PA - The Swarthmore College baseball team fell to Immaculata University, 10-6, on Friday night.
Nate Jbara led the Garnet offense with a home run and two RBI, while
Kirk Terada-Herzer and
Matthew Silvestre both drove home one run.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jbara plated the opening run with a leadoff homer to left field in the third inning. Swarthmore then added three more runs in the fourth inning on two hits. Jbara drove home two runs with a single to shortstop, while Terada-Herzer added on another run with a single to center field, 4-0.
- The Mighty Macs took the lead with six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Immaculata then added two more in the fifth inning to take a four-run advantage, 8-4.
- Immaculata expanded on its lead with two more runs in the seventh inning. Swarthmore then added two runs in the ninth inning on an error and an RBI single from Silvestre, 10-6.
