PINEHURST, NC - The Swarthmore College golf team opened its spring schedule at Pinehurst Resort against Penn State Harrisburg. The Garnet defeated the Nittany Lions, 313-324, while
Michael Brown led the Garnet with a 74 on the afternoon - sinking three birdies and one eagle.
Brown also overtook the program's career birdie record as he passed Nick DiMaio with his 123rd career birdie.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brown recorded the lowest score of the afternoon as he shot a 74 to lead the Garnet. The senior shot one-over his season low of 73.

Ankur Malik tied for second overall on the afternoon. The senior shot a 76 to match the Nittany Lions' top scorer.

Zack Zawisny each recorded scores under 80. Lee was fourth overall with a 78, while Bains and Zawisny shot a 79, respectively. Bains and Zawisny also recorded season-lows.
