Ehrenhaft Shines in Scoreless Draw at Misericordia

DALLAS, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw at Misericordia University on a rainy and windy Tuesday night.

Caleb Ehrenhaft was excellent in net with five saves in a full 90-minutes of action. The junior earned his second clean sheet of the season as he kept the Garnet in the game with several critical stops.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ehrenhaft made an early save in the opening minute. Following a Misericordia throw-in attempt, the Cougars generated traffic in front of the net and deflected a shot low on goal. Ehrenhaft made a heads up play to dive on the loose ball and turn away the Cougars early.

- Swarthmore created traffic in front of the net, but had a cross attempted headed away by the Cougars in the 17th minute. The Garnet earned a corner kick and generated a shot attempt from Oliver Garcia, which was blocked by a sliding defender.

- Ehrenhaft made a massive save on a Misericordia breakaway in the 35th minute. The Cougars broke loose on a counter attack and had an open run at the net. Ehrenhaft stood strong in goal and made a remarkable kick save to keep the Cougars off the board.

- The Cougars put together a couple scoring chances early in the second half, but Ehrenhaft stepped up once again with a pair of saves. The junior keeper stopped a header opportunity from the left side of the goal and then made a sliding stop after the Cougars tried to put back the rebound.

- Swarthmore had a couple scoring chances on consecutive corner kicks in the 55th minute. After Sean Nolan played the corner in front of the goal, Brandon Cramblit had his attempt saved, while Toshiro Kenney's rebound was blocked by a defender. Later in the half, Leo Hecht took a rip on goal from just outside the box, but was unable to beat the keeper.

- The Garnet had their final scoring chance in the last minute of regulation. Henry Lin tried to curve the ball into the top left of the goal, but missed just high in the 90th minute.
