SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Lacrosse dropped its final home contest of the year to No. 25 Washington College 16-4 on Wednesday.

The Garnet struck first, sinking a goal three minutes in off the stick of Elizabeth Wainwright, assisted by Tess Wild.

Sophomore goalie Madison Kline was tested early and performed admirably in her first start this season. Kline registered 11 saves in the setback.

Washington College soon built up some momentum and went on to score eight straight goals. The Garnet sprinkled in three unassisted goals the rest of the contest with Kathryn Restrepo, Mackenzie Frost and Tess Wild all finding the back of the net. Wild's tally with 11:41 to play in the second half capped off the scoring for the rest of the evening.

Swarthmore, 11-4 on the season and 4-4 in conference play, has only lost to teams nationally-ranked in the top-25 this season. Swarthmore's hopes of making the Centennial Conference Tournament now come down to the team's showdown at Haverford on Saturday at noon.
