LANCASTER, Pa. -- Swarthmore College Volleyball suffered its first Centennial Conference loss of the season in five sets at Franklin & Marshall College on Wednesday night.
The Garnet (10-2, 3-1) won the first two sets 25-22, 25-17 and dropped the next three 25-20, 25-17, 16-14.
The first set saw several lead changes before Swarthmore took a 20-15 advantage. The second set was similar until the Garnet won 14 of the last 20 points.
The Diplomats (10-4, 4-0) led for the entire third set until Swarthmore rallied for six straight points to take a 16-14 lead. F&M never trailed in the fourth set. The fifth set was never separated by more than two.

Mehra den Braven had a match-high 24 kills to go along with a .306 hitting percentage. Swarthmore junior middle blocker
Emma Morgan-Bennett had 14 kills, a .229 hitting percentage and a match-high six total blocks (four solo).

Katie Silva was second with 17.
The Garnet have a non-conference match at Cabrini University in Radnor, Pa., on Friday at 7 p.m.
