HAVERFORD, Pa.--Swarthmore College Baseball remains in first place in the Centennial Conference after beating Haverford College 3-1 on the road on Tuesday.
The Garnet (25-9 overall, 12-3 conference) have three conference games left to play, two at McDaniel College (10-16, 3-11) and one more versus Haverford at home on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
Charles Groppe started on the mound for Swarthmore and brought his undefeated record to 4-0. He struck out four over six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and one walk.

AJ Liu drove in the first run for the Garnet on a single in the top of the second. Senior
Matt Palmer's fourth-inning double to left resulted in the second run. And junior
Cole Beeker hit a sacrifice fly in the eighth to complete the scoring.

Jack Corkery picked up his conference-leading seventh save of the season in his first two-inning outing of the year.
With four regular-season games remaining, the Garnet are two wins away from tying the program's single-season wins record.
