SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Swimming edged the Gettysburg College Bullets on Saturday 133-129 to remain undefeated in Centennial Conference dual meets (5-0).
With two events to go, Swarthmore and Gettysburg were tied at 113-113. In the 200-yard individual medley,
Alec Menzer earned nine critical points by finishing in first (1:57.62). Teammate
Chris Smith took second with a time of 1:59.58 for four points.
Gabe Caldwell added one more point for a fifth-place finish.
With the 127-118 lead intact, Swarthmore wrapped up the win with second and third place in the 200 free relay.
In addition to the win in the 200 IM,
Alec Menzer had wins in the 200 free and 200 fly.
Jeffrey Tse also had three wins, taking first in the 100 fly, the 100 back and the 200 back.
Michael Lutzker won the 1,000 free (9:51.51).
Chris Smith clocked in at 58.97 in the 100 breast and 2:13.43 in the 200 breast for first.
