BRYN MAWR, Pa.—No. 24 Swarthmore College Women's Soccer tallied seven goals in Tuesday afternoon's rout of the Bryn Mawr College Owls.
Swarthmore's 7-0 victory snapped a brief two-game skid and was also the team's ninth shutout of the season.
The Garnet (11-2-1, 5-1-1 Centennial) blasted 43 shots and 19 on goal while only allowing four Bryn Mawr attempts and two on goal.
Marin McCoy scored a pair of goals to lead the Garnet, upping her team high to nine this year. The goals were her first since Sept. 20.
Brittany Weiderhold, the team's second-leading scorer, netted her sixth goal of the season. McCoy and Weiderhold combined for Swarthmore's first three goals, giving them a comfortable 3-0 lead by the 20th minute.
Lizzie King added her fourth goal of the year in the 25th minute.
Megan Ruoff and Maddy Carens each tallied their second marks of the season, and freshman Kim Kockenmeister registered her first collegiate goal in the 82nd minute.
The Garnet continue Centennial Conference action on Saturday at Gettysburg College in a 7 p.m. game.
