SWARTHMORE, Pa.–The Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team kicked off the 2017 season on snowy Clothier Field with a 17-2 win over DeSales on Friday, March 3.

Briana Narzikul led the scoring attack with seven points on five goals and two assists. Bridget Silveira, Elizabeth Wainwright and Tess Wild each recorded a hat trick while Silveira, Taylor Chiang and Sydnie Schwarz all added a pair of assists. Silveira picked up four ground balls to lead all players and Wild had a game-high six draw controls.

Rookies Betsy Cohen and Lily Fornof split time between the pipes with the latter making three saves.

The Garnet will travel down south for their next game, a nonconference tilt against Cazenovia on Tuesday, March 7 in Hilton Head, S.C.
