SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Lacrosse kept the visiting Drew University Rangers scoreless for the first 35 minutes in Saturday's 12-4 win. The Garnet improved to 4-2 and Drew dipped to 3-3.
Cam Marsh recorded his fourth hat trick of the season and added an assist for the four-point game. Freshman Austin Chang also found the back of the net three times. Classmate Zander Levitz scored twice and had an assist. Matt Johnson, Alex Mandel, Dylan Rittenhouse and Griffin Johnston also scored.
Swarthmore won the faceoff battle 14-6. Stephen Ducey won 12-of-15 faceoffs.
The Garnet rolled out to a 6-0 advantage before Drew finally scored with 9:34 left in the third. Swarthmore responded with Marsh's third of the game 90 seconds later. The Garnet outscored the visitors 4-3 in the third. Chang scored twice in the fourth to cash in on the hat trick.
Swarthmore returns to action on Wednesday at Arcadia University for the team's first night game of the year.
