CHESTERTOWN, Md.—Swarthmore College Men's Swimming won its third consecutive dual meet to open the 2017-18 season, beating the Washington College Shoremen 111-94.
Swarthmore split the two relay races with Washington, winning the 400 medley relay, but finishing in second in the 200 free to end the meet.
The Garnet took the 400 medley in 3:30.04 to open Saturday's meet.
Michael Lutzker earned his first win of the day in the 1,000 free with a time of 10:10.49. Lutzker would later also take first in the 500 free (4:54.78).
Jeffrey Tse and Christopher Smith finished one-and-two in the 200 IM. Tse won with a time of 1:57.03 and Smith had a time of 2:03.10. Tse also finished in first in the 200 back (1:56.47).
Freshman
Alec Menzer won the 200 fly in 1:59.23.
The Garnet return to the pool on Dec. 2 for the first home meet of the season.
