Lindsay O'Sullivan scored a career-high 24 points as the Swarthmore College women's basketball team earned a wire-to-wire win over the Bryn Mawr College Owls on Thursday, Jan. 5.
The Garnet snapped a six-game losing streak in the 66-42 triumph. O'Sullivan completed a double-double with 12 rebounds and classmate
Elizabeth Stiles dished out five assists on the evening. Twelve different players scored for Swarthmore, which forced 21 turnovers and won the rebound battle by a 63-43 margin. The Garnet finished 19-of-25 from the charity stripe and limited the Owls to a 25.4 percent shooting mark from the field.
Bryn Mawr put up a spirited fight in the first quarter and trailed by only three points heading into the second. A trey from

Abigail Pirron and a
Raina Williams layup give Swarthmore its first double-digit lead at 22-12 and the hosts never looked back. O'Sullivan scored the final four points of the half to put the Garnet ahead, 36-21, after two.
Swarthmore clamped down even further in the third, limiting Bryn Mawr to only one made basket in 13 shots.
Jordyn Bell scored all four of her points in the quarter and O'Sullivan paced the Garnet in the fourth with nine more points.
Hayley Raymond provided the final margin with a layup in the last five seconds of the contest.
The women's basketball team plays its fourth game of the week when it travels to Gettysburg on Saturday, Jan. 7 for a showdown at 1 p.m.
