SWARTHMORE, Pa.–The Swarthmore College baseball team (16-10, 0-4 CC) fell by a 10-0 score to the visiting Haverford Fords (15-7, 4-0 CC) at Clothier Field on Friday, April 8.
Shortstop
Wesley Fishburn had two hits at the top of the order and
Ryan Burnett,
Roy Walker,
Jackson Roberts,
Steven Matos-Torres and
Charles Levitt also singled in the game.
The Garnet defense turned two double plays, including one with the bases loaded in the top of the third. Starter
Nate Booth was charged with the loss, falling to 4-3 on the year. Sophomore
Griffin Kammerer was effective in relief, allowing only one hit and no walks in two innings on the mound.
Swarthmore looks to rebound with a rescheduled Centennial Conference doubleheader against Gettysburg College on Sunday, April 10 at 12:30 p.m.
