SWARTHMORE, Pa.—With bated breath, Swarthmore College Women's Soccer teammates, coaches and staff huddled around the TV in the Lamb-Miller Fieldhouse Hospitality Room to find out if the Garnet had earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Sixty-two of the 64 available spots had already been announced when Swarthmore was finally called. The timing of the call was no indication of Swarthmore's ranking in the tournament. The Garnet had been ranked fourth in the Mid-Atlantic region as of the last rankings.

Swarthmore will be returning to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year and will be playing this Saturday on the campus of Amherst College against the Misericordia University Cougars.

The Garnet (14-3) fell in the Centennial Conference semifinal round to eventual champion Johns Hopkins. 

The Garnet haven't played Misericordia (17-3) since 2012 and are 3-4 all-time against the Cougars. Misericordia cruised to a 5-0 win over DeSales University on Saturday to win the MAC-Freedom Championship.
