SWARTHMORE, Pa.--Swarthmore College Women's Swimming fell to Gettysburg College 163-99 on Senior Day on Saturday. The Garnet captured first place in four events.

Freshman
Emily Bley contributed a first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:21.55. Bley trailed by one second going into the final lap, but turned on the jets in the final 50 yards. Bley swam the final lap in 29.85 and edged the second-place finisher by a tenth of a second.

Bley also aided in the first place finish of the 400-yard freestyle relay; freshman
Sophie Moody, junior
Maggie Eberts, and sophomore
Ashley Hwang combined with Bley for a 3:45.94 finish. Junior
Erica Flor took a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.16, and freshman
Rose Ridder placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.07, narrowing beating out the second-place swimmer by four hundredths of a second.

As the last home meet of the regular season, the Swarthmore women's swimming team honored their two seniors,
Margaret Luo and
Eva Winter.

The Garnet will swim at Dickinson College on Saturday at 2 p.m. in their last dual meet of the season.
