SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Swimming cruised to a 127-96 victory against the Bryn Mawr College Owls on Wednesday night, returning to Ware Pool for the first time since Dec. 5. The Garnet had the fastest times in 10 of the meet's 13 events and swam exhibition in the final four events.
Maggie Eberts and
Briana Schoenek each recorded top times in two events. Eberts swam the 50-yard freestyle in 32.83 and swam the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:10.16. Schoenek raced to a time of 28.59 in the 50-yard butterfly and was the only swimmer with a sub-minute time in the 100-yard freestyle (58.8). Schoenek also was a part of the 200-yard medley relay team and 200-yard freestyle relay teams that had the fastest times on the evening.
Sophie Moody led the way in the 200-yard freestyle with a 2:03.23 time.
Sarah Solomon won the 100-yard butterfly with a 1:01.79 mark. In the 50-yard freestyle,
Rose Ridder edged teammates
Emma Eppley and
Diane Lee with a time of 26.62. Lee finished just three-hundredths of a second in front of
Abigail Byrne for the fastest time in the 500-yard freestyle (5:39.37).
Swarthmore returns to the pool on Saturday against Cabrini Conference in a non-conference meet.
