SEA ISLAND, Ga. – The Swarthmore College golf team fell to the College of Coastal Georgia by a 319-282 score on Thursday, March 12 at the Retreat Course of the Sea Island Golf Club.

Andrew Park led the Garnet with a pair of 76s in their spring season kickoff match. Senior

Drew Langan both shot an 83 to round out the team score of 319. Junior
Andrew Pak, freshman
Yousaf Razvi, and junior
Jason Jolliffe also played in the match shooting 84, 93, and 92, respectively, as the Garnet battled a torrent of rain for their last few holes on the par-72, 6,723-yard Retreat Course.
As the defending NAIA national champions, Coastal Georgia carded a 282 to beat the Garnet in their first match of the spring season. The top two individual finishers were Hunter Cornelius with a 67 and Alastair Tidcombe with a 68.
The Garnet will next compete at the Revolutionary Golf Classic on March 21.
Note: Michael Chen dropped his third hole-in-one on the anniversary of senior
Amanda Beebe's hole-in-one during last year's spring break trip at Pinehurst … He aced the 16th hole, which measured 146 yards.
