LANCASTER, Pa.-Swarthmore College Men's Swimming took care of the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats 180-65, winning each event and taking first and second place in seven of those events.
Swarthmore's
Liam Fitzstevens won two events- the 200-yard butterfly and 400-yard individual medley. Fitzstevens also led off the first-place 400-yard medley relay.
Freshmen Jeff Tse,
Michael Lutzker and
Charles Yang all won multiple events as well. Tse won the 50-yard freestyle and 200-yard backstroke, Lutzker claimed the top prize in the 500-yard freestyle and Yang won the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle. Yang won the 100-yard freestyle in an outside smoke, taking the heat in a time of 48.54.
Alejandro Hernandez won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:00.84.
Chris Smith claimed the 200-yard freestyle in 1:46.78, and
CJ Cling finished in first in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:17.37.
Swarthmore finished first, second and third in that race.
Jason Fu was just 0.01 seconds behind Cling, and
Jerry Gu was three seconds behind them.
Swarthmore races at Widener on Saturday at 1 p.m.
