Supriya Davis factored into three winning performances, but it wasn't enough, as the Swarthmore College women's swimming team fell to perennial power Gettysburg by a 173-83 score on Saturday, Jan. 31.
Davis won both the 100 and 200-yard butterfly events with times of 58.11 seconds and 2:11, respectively, and also swam on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team that touched the wall in 1:41.97. Classmate
Kate Wiseman anchored the relay, which also included freshmen
Maggie Eberts and
Ashley Hwang, and won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.41 seconds.
The Garnet also had a pair of runner-up finishes in individual events at the dual meet. Sophomore
Erica Flor completed the 100-yard backstroke race in 1:02.23, while Wiseman finished the 100-yard freestyle in 55.02 seconds.
Swarthmore (4-4, CC 3-3), which had won its previous three duals against Centennial opponents, will host Dickinson on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. It will mark the last home meet at Ware Pool for seniors
