Kate Wiseman and
Supriya Davis, the Swarthmore women's swimming team cruised to a 122-83 victory over Washington College on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at Ware Pool. It marked the team's third straight victory in a dual meet and second consecutive against a Centennial Conference opponent.
Davis won the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle with respective times of 2:00.30 and 5:22.00. In addition, she contributed to the winning 200-yard medley relay that finished in 1:52.98. Wiseman, who swam the final leg of the medley relay, also won two individual events for the Garnet. She captured the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle with times of 25.45 and 55.29 seconds.
Other impressive swims included freshman
Maggie Eberts's 200-yard individual medley race, which she narrowly won with a time of 2:18.27, and sophomore
Erica Flor's 1:01.05 100-yard backstroke race. The sophomore narrowly out-touched her Washington competitor by 0.76 seconds.
The Garnet (4-3, CC 3-2) are on the road this weekend when they swim against Gettysburg on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m.
