Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa.- The Swarthmore College field hockey team fell to Dickinson by an 8-0 score on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Clothier Field.

Dickinson (9-1, CC 3-0), which scored four times in each half, got two early goals in the opening seven minutes from Amber Dey and Alyssa Stillwell. The Red Devil offense was led by Kendal Packo, who netted two goals, and Caroline Karwel who added three assists.

Swarthmore's best scoring attempt of the afternoon came midway through the second half when freshman
Shivani Chinnappan intercepted a pass and a had a one-on-one opportunity against goalkeeper Freddie Bancroft. Chinnapan's maneuver, however, was turned away by the goalie.

Ellory Laning started her first game and turned away ten shots in the losing effort for Swarthmore. Towards the end of the second half, back-to-back shots were taken off rebounds, and Laning was able to make two saves just six seconds apart. Dickinson Bancroft earned the win without making a save.

Swarthmore (1-8, CC 0-2) will play away at Ursinus College on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 4:30 p.m.
