CARLISLE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College women's swimming team was edged by Dickinson, 114-91, in its final dual meet of the season on Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Clarke Aquatic Center.
Freshman
Erica Flor and juniors
Katherine Wiseman and
Supriya Davis led the way for the Garnet by winning an individual event and teaming up with sophomore
Nikkia Miller on the victorious 400-yard medley relay that hit the wall in a season-best time of 4:08.50. Wiseman won the 200 IM in 2:15.73, which was a season best, while Davis was first in the 200 fly in 2:12.62. Flor took the 200 back by notching a season-best mark of 2:11.48.
Other notable performances were made by sophomore
Eva Winter and freshman
Emma Eppley. Winter won the 200 breast in 2:33.63, and Eppley recorded two of the Garnet's 10 season-best times on the afternoon in the 50 free and 100 free with marks of 25.78 seconds and 57.85 seconds, respectively.
Swarthmore (4-6, CC 2-5) will head to Franklin & Marshall to compete at the Centennial Conference Championships from Feb. 21-23. The Garnet will look to improve on last year's fifth-place finish at the meet.
