Fitzstevens, a consistent leader for the team, took first place in both the 100 and 200 backstroke races, with times of 54.96 and 1:58.87, respectively. Steele narrowly won the 50 free race with a time of 22.33, and edged out his Rowan contender for a victory in the 100 fly, hitting the wall with a time of 53.97.
Steele also factored into the Garnet's only winning relay of the meet, along with freshmen
Alejandro Hernandez,
Tony Wang, and Carlo Silviotti. The 200 freestyle team out-touched their opponents by .36 seconds, earning a time of 1:30.70.
Other notable performers include sophomore Steve Sekula, who placed fourth in a tight 200 freestyle race with a time of 1:50.94, and freshman
Jason Fu, who earned a second place finish in the 500 free with a time of 4:57.89.
The Garnet will return home to Ware Pool next week to kick off the two-day Swarthmore Invitational on Friday, Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m.
