Rehana Omardeen registered her first career hat trick to lead the Swarthmore College women's soccer team to a 7-1 win over Bryn Mawr on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Applebee Field. With the victory, the Garnet remained in contention for a Centennial Conference playoff berth.

Emma Sindelar scored just 7:53 apart to give the Garnet a 2-0 lead midway through the first half before Sindelar set up freshman
Katie Dougherty to put the visitors ahead by three in the 28th minute.
The Garnet continued to send a barrage of shots at the Bryn Mawr goalkeeper Aviva Kosansky throughout the remainder of the match and would get three insurance tallies from Omardeen to seal the victory. Omardeen first found the back of the net twice in a span of 1:44 late in the first half to make it 5-0 at the break before capping the scoring in the 81st minute to produce the final outcome.
In addition to Omardeen's hat trick, Lichtenstein finished the match with two goals and two assists to pace the Garnet offense. Sindelar ended the match with one goal and two helpers.
Junior
Reba Magier of Swarthmore made two saves to pick up the win, while Kosansky of Bryn Mawr (5-11-1, CC1-8-1) turned away seven shots in the losing effort.
Swarthmore will look to qualify for the Centennial Conference Tournament when it hosts archrival Haverford on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. Six seniors will be recognized for their contributions to the program prior to the contest.
