Clare Perez each scored twice to lead the Swarthmore College field hockey team to an 8-2 victory over Bryn Mawr on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Clothier Field.
Swarthmore (2-15, CC 1-8) scored two quick goals and led from wire-to-wire. Perez fired in a loose ball to put the Garnet on the scoreboard at the 7:13 mark before senior
Abigail Lauder, who was recognized for her contributions to the program prior to the game, doubled the advantage just two minutes later. After Bryn Mawr (2-13, CC 0-10) sliced the deficit in half courtesy of Hezel Gadzikwa, Swarthmore regained control and got consecutive goals from Gluck to take a 4-1 lead into the break.
In the second half, the Garnet added four more goals with a balanced attack to cap a streak of six unanswered and build a commanding 8-1 advantage. Freshman

Ursula Monaghan all found the back of the cage during the stretch. Sophomore
Jordyn Bell also picked up her first career assist and point by setting up Chinnappan's goal that set the tone for the entire half.
Junior
Ainsley Parrish of Swarthmore made nine saves in the winning effort and now has 174 over 16 appearances this season. Alex Weinfeld of Bryn Mawr turned away 12 shots in the setback.
Swarthmore concludes its 2014 campaign when it hosts archrival Haverford on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 12:00 p.m.
