ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Swarthmore College field hockey team fell to Muhlenberg by a 9-1 decision on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at Scotty Wood Stadium.
 
Muhlenberg (10-3, CC 6-2) scored the first five goals in a span of 21:05 and never looked back. After junior Erin Gluck put the Garnet on the board by finishing a cross from senior Abigail Lauder in the 27th minute to make it 5-1 at the break, Lauren Jordan completed a hat trick just 1:06 into the second half to allow the Mules to regain control the rest of the way.
 
Sierra Lenker picked up the victory without making a save for the Mules before being relieved by Emma Rosenthal and Hayley Peterson in the second half. The Garnet's Ainsley Parrish turned away three shots and freshman Ellory Laning made 12 stops in the loss.
 
Swarthmore (1-15, CC 0-8) will return home to face Bryn Mawr on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m.
