SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Junior
Kate Wiseman won the 100-yard breastroke and anchored the winning 200-yard medley relay squad in her first meet of the winter to help lead the Swarthmore College women's swimming team to a 119-100 triumph over Cabrini on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Ware Pool.
Wiseman was victorious the 200 breast by hitting the wall in 1:12.89, which was almost 14 seconds faster than the first Cabrini finisher. She also teamed up with freshman
Erica Flor, sophomore
Nikkia Miller and senior
Rebecca Teng on the 200 medley relay that started the afternoon by registering a first-place time of 1:55.14. In addition, Flor was triumphant in the 200 back by recording a mark of 1:02.52, outdistancing the rest of the field by nearly five seconds.
Other Garnet winners included freshman
Abigail Byrne, seniors
Erin Lowe and
Maggie Regan, junior
Julia Anderson and sophomore
Jessica Seigel. Lowe most notably won the 100 free and 200 fly with marks of 58.31 seconds and 2:23.12, respectively.
Swarthmore (3-4) will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Washington College at 6:30 p.m.
