Satre & Duncan Lead Men's Swimming Past Dickinson, 111-94, On Senior Day

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The last meet of the season before the Centennial Conference Championships was a battle from beginning to end, but the Swarthmore College men's swim team ultimately emerged victorious over the Dickinson Red Devils on Saturday by a score of 111-94.

The meet was preceded by Senior Day ceremonies, as Roger Chin, Daniel Duncan, Charlie Hepper, Nathaniel Lo, Patrick Monari, Josh Satre, Nick Sohn, and Lucas Zullo all swam in their final competition at Ware Pool.

The Garnet men won largely on depth, taking first in only four individual events. Satre was the team's only multiple-winner, taking both the 1000 (10:10.84) and 500 (5:00.22) freestyles. Duncan recorded a win in the 200 freestyle (1:47.33), while junior John Flaherty took first in the 200 IM (2:02.48).

Swarthmore received several other notable performances, including swims from sophomore Sam Tomlinson (2nd, 200 free, 1:49.33, and 100 free, 49.65), junior Stan Le (2nd, 200 IM, 2:04.69), and freshman Riley Collins (2nd, 200 breaststroke, 2:20.59). The Garnet also pulled out a tight win in the 400 freestyle relay, as Duncan, Flaherty, Tomlinson, and freshman David Ranshous teamed up to touch in 3:17.77.

The team will next see action at the Centennial Conference Championships on February 22-24 at Franklin & Marshall.
