Box Score 2 ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Swarthmore College volleyball team dropped two matches in straight sets against Muhlenberg and Moravian on Saturday, Nov .2 at Memorial Hall.
Swarthmore started the day falling by set scores of 25-20, 25-22 and 25-17 in its Centennial Conference finale against the Mules before ending the afternoon with 25-21, 25-22 and 25-18 set losses in non-league play versus the Greyhounds.
The Garnet were led by sophomore
Madison Heppe, who posted 16 digs in each match as well as a combined three assists and two kills. Classmate
Sam DuBois quarterbacked the offense with a combined 48 assists to go along with 10 digs, while senior
Brone Lobichusky had 19 kills over the course of the afternoon. Junior
Chastity Hopkins controlled the front of the net with a combined five blocks.
Swarthmore (15-13, CC 3-7), which is guaranteed to finish with a winning season for the fifth consecutive year, will now wait to see if it earns a bid to the ECAC Tournament.
