Ashley Zalewski, whom finished with 13 kills, led the run with two kills. The teams would go point-for-point to the finish line, forcing extra tallies. Marywood's Amy Melick set the score at 26-26 with her kill, but back-to-back kills from Sullivan and a dump from DuBois gave the Garnet a 28-26 second set victory.
Opening the third set close, the Pacers went on a 7-3 run to hold the lead at 13-9 with a kill from Melick - she finished with 12 on the night. Swarthmore closed the gap and tied at 16 with Sullivan's service ace and later regained the lead, 20-18, on White-Torruellas service. Once again the teams closed out the set point-for-point, but this time Marywood took the victory on back-to-back kills from Zalewski.
In the fourth set, Swarthmore found its groove after service aces from Lobichusky to go ahead 16-13, holding the lead for the remainder. The Pacers would only score twice more in the set.
