Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College volleyball team dropped its third consecutive set on Saturday afternoon to Gettysburg College by a 3-0 score (20-25, 17-25, 17-25).
With 12 digs in the match, senior
Danielle Sullivan joined the 1000-dig club - she needed just three coming into the match - becoming just the eighth player in program history to reach the career milestone.
As a defense, Swarthmore (11-6, 1-3 CC) had four players in double-digit digs with Sullivan and senior
Maggie Duszyk earning 12 and sophomores
Madison Heppe and
Sam DuBois earning 10 each. At the net,
Brone Lobichusky '14,
Chastity Hopkins '15 and
Anastasia White-Torruellas '16 each had a solo block.
Lobichusky led the attack with nine kills, while Hopkins had seven and DuBois had 24 assists for her 13th double-double on the season. Duszyk and White-Torruellas each had two service aces.
Alesha Miller of Gettsyburg had 24 digs for the defense. Laura Bergin had a double-double of 11 kills and 12 digs, while Courtney Morrow finished with 13 kills.
Swarthmore will take a break from conference play and host Cabrini College on Tuesday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m. from Tarble Pavilion.
