LANCASTER, Pa. - The No. 3 seed Swarthmore College volleyball team will travel to the campus of Franklin & Marshall this coming Saturday at 2:30 p.m. to face No. 2 seed Johns Hopkins in the second Centennial Conference volleyball semifinal match of the day, as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
The winner of the Garnet-Blue Jays match will face the winner of the No. 1 seed Franklin & Marshall-Haverford/Gettysburg match, played at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, in the championship game. The championship game is set to start at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday
The Garnet is set to play in its first CC semifinal match since 2010 and third overall. The Blue Jays and Garnet meet for the first time in CC playoffs and 26th all-time. In CC competition, Johns Hopkins has won 20 of 21 times since 1993.
The No. 3 seed is the highest in program history.
