Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Allie Coleman and Kat Montemurro certainly made their senior day memorable as both collected double-doubles in Swarthmore College volleyball (19-5, 8-2 CC) defeated Haverford College (19-9, 7-3 CC) in four sets (25-20, 25-21, 25-22, 25-20) to claim a first-round bye with a No. 3 ranking in the Centennial Conference playoffs, a first in program history.
Montemurro collected her 12th double-double on the season with 14 kills and 16 digs, while Coleman added her eighth double-double of 44 assists and 12 digs in the Garnet victory.
The teams shared similar statistics in the box score; the Fords combined as a team with a .185 hitting percentage against Swarthmore's .184 hitting accuracy. The Garnet had a slight edge with 55 kills, 50 assists and 98 digs to the Fords' 52 kills, 44 assists and 85 digs.
In the four-set match, the Garnet defense was anchored by Kate Amodei with 24 digs and Danielle Sullivan with 20 digs.
Montemurro continued to be an offensive force for the Garnet along with junior middle blocker Brone Lobichusky who collected 11 kills, one service ace and two block assists. Lobichusky hit .370 for a team-best on the afternoon. Sullivan and Zahra Ahmed each added nine kills in the winning effort.
The Fords were led by Meg O'Day, collecting 20 kills on no errors for a .541 hitting percentage. Keri Godbe collected a double-double of 17 kills and 18 digs for Haverford, while Olivia Walsh registered 38 assists. Madison Fuelling led the Fords defense with 23 digs.
