Morgan Langley '11 Signs Professional Soccer Contract with Harrisburg City Islanders
HARRISBURG, Pa. - Morgan Langley '11 of the Swarthmore College men's soccer team has signed a professional contract with the Harrisburg City Islanders of the USL PRO League, the team announced on Thursday afternoon.

Men's Soccer to Host 9th Annual Charity Youth Soccer Clinic
SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College Garnet men's soccer team - the 2010 Centennial Conference Champions - will host the 9th Annual Charity Youth Soccer Clinic on Sunday, January 30th, 2011. The charity clinic, the proceeds of which will benefit the Genocide Intervention Network, runs from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Swarthmore's Lamb-Miller Field House. In addition to learning basic skills, such as passing, dribbling, and defending, the children will play small-sided matches against each other during the afternoon.

Kansas City, Kan. - Senior Morgan Langley and junior Micah Rose of the Swarthmore College men's soccer team have been named to the 2010 NSCAA/Performance Subaru Men’s NCAA Division III All-America Team, the organization announced on Saturday.
Langley and Rose are both third team selections and mark Swarthmore’s 93rd and 94th All-American selections and first since Jeff Kushner in 2008.

Six Swarthmore Student-Athletes Named to Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team
Lancaster, Pa. - Six Swarthmore student-athletes have been named to the 2010 Fall All-Centennial Sportsmanship Team, the Conference announced on Wednesday morning.
The Centennial Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) established the All-Sportsmanship team in 2007. Each team elected a member from their squad who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season to be selected to the All-Centennial sportsmanship team.

Medaille Advances Past Men's Soccer in Penalty Kicks, 0-0 (2OT 3-2)
SWARTHMORE, Pa. - It's penalty kick heartbreak once again for the Swarthmore College men's soccer team as Medaille (16-4-3) outlasted the Garnet (16-1-4) in kicks 3-2 to advance to the NCAA Division III men's soccer Sweet 16 on Sunday evening from Clothier Field.
The Medaille advancement marks the second-consecutive season that Swarthmore's season has come to an end in the NCAA Tournament due to penalty kicks.

LANCASTER, Pa. - Senior forward Morgan Langley of the Swarthmore College men's soccer team (15-1-3) was named Centennial Conference Player of the Year. Joining him with All-Centennial first-team honors are juniors Fabian Castro and Micah Rose while junior Pierre Dyer and senior Gage Newman would be named to the second team, the Conference announced on Tuesday Afternoon.
Langley was a unanimous first-team selection and becomes the first Swarthmore player to earn Centennial Player of the Year honors.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The road to the Centennial Conference Championship will go through Clothier Field Stadium.
In a battle between two of the top teams in the Conference and in the region, senior Morgan Langley scored his team-leading 12th goal of the season in the 48th minute to give the No. 8/9 Swarthmore College men's soccer team a 1-0 road victory over No. 20 Muhlenberg on Wednesday evening from Allentown.
With the win, the Garnet (13-1-2, 6-0-2) secure the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Centennial Conference playoffs and home-field advantage for the event. The Swarthmore win also hands the Mules their first loss of the 2010 season (9-1-6).

Senior Morgan Langley scored two first-half highlight-reel goals and added an assist to his NCAA-leading total, while junior Fabian Castro scored a goal and added two assists as the Garnet (12-1-2, 5-0-2) overwhelmed McDaniel with a combination of speed and skill, defeating the Green Terror 4-0 on Saturday evening.

2010 Men's Soccer Season Preview
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – For the Swarthmore College men’s soccer team, the 2009 season had everything needed for a storybook season - everything but the perfect ending. After recording one of the best regular seasons in program history and once again reaching the NCAA Sweet 16 in dramatic fashion, the Garnet’s season ended in heartbreak, losing to lower-seeded Transylvania on penalty kicks. But that heartbreak is fuel for the 2010 team, which hopes to fight for another Centennial Conference championship and advance past the Round of 16 for the first time in over 30 years.
