KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Swarthmore College Women's Soccer, off to a hot 4-0 start in 2018, climbed to No. 12 in the nation in the first United Soccer Coaches poll of the year.
The poll, released on Tuesday afternoon, saw the Garnet move up nine spots from their preseason ranking of No. 21.
Swarthmore has only conceded one goal through the first four games of the year and has put up eight goals on its opponents.
Marin McCoy leads Swarthmore with five of those goals and she assisted another.
Brittany Weiderhold has a pair of goals and
Sydney Covitz scored Swarthmore's other goal.
The Garnet open up conference play on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Dickinson College.
